Elevators Do Not Work Anymore After The DashBoard Patch!!
First you'll need to put two people in the elevator. Next you click on the elevator and an option will come up saying 'Woo-Hoo' If this doesn't work, then it will either mean that your Sim doesn't have a good relationship with the other or that it doesn't work on the base game. I hope this helped :)
use rotom event from Pokemon platinum ( i think )

In the Pokmon Trading Card Game, poison is a special condition that causes a Pokmon to take damage between turns. When a Pokmon is poisoned, it takes damage at the end of each player's turn, reducing its HP until it is either healed or knocked out. Players can use certain cards and abilities to inflict poison on their opponent's Pokmon, adding a strategic element to the game.

No work is done on a person ascending an elevator as the force is in the same direction as the displacement, resulting in zero work done by the force moving the person.
Why wouldn't it? Soulsilver is just like all the other DS games - It will work on both DS and DS lite.
A disadvantage of an elevator is the inconvenience when it does not work. People get dependent on an elevator and find it very hard to take the stairs during a breakdown even if they are physically capable of using stairs.
