What you should do is buy a new disc drive online and then go on YouTube and look up a guide on how to open your xbox up. Anyone can do it. It is very very easy. And replacing the disc drive involves only unplugging 2 cables. Ya like seriously HECKA easy. Heres a link to buy some disc drives if you still needed it.

How long has this been happening? sometimes when i insert a disc it just say's open tray as if theres no disk in there so i just wiggle the disc into a different position then it usually works. if your xbox won't read discs.. 1. check if the disc(s) is/are scratched, if so run it under hot water or spray with an aerosol can (sounds crazy but gets rid of most of my scratches). 2. if that's not the problem give your disc tray a little dusting. blow into into the xbox once you've opened the disc tray. 3. if none of these work contact Microsoft at xbox.com and they should have a solution.
If it only does that for a certain disc, then the disc is probably damaged and needs to be replaced. If this happens for all discs, then there is a problem with your disc reader. If that is the case, contact Nintendo and see if they can fix your wii.
The PSP's drive can only read UMD discs.
Yes. On a Pro and Elite console. But if you want to on an arcade consolo you Must buy a hard drive.
Its really sad for that to happen but you just need to replace the console for a new one.My suggestion is that you need to be extra extra careful handling a xbox360 if you own it.
um i had trouble with mine my mom dropped it and it worked again but dont try it mine was luck
Ye
PlayStation 2 discs have a special ring on the inside of their discs. This ring cannot be read or copied by a normal drive, and cannot be written to a blank disc.
put some dish soap on the disc and then rinse of with cold water make sure all the soap is off then clean all around the disc with a smooth cloth and if that does not work check and make sure your Xbox is working.
If the dashboard says that there is no disc inserted. The disk drive is damaged and should be replaced.
There is no "correct" burning; a PlayStation will simply not read a burned disc. There is probably nothing wrong with your computer, your drive, or your discs.
Yes it also has a harddrive for downloaded games and a read-only optical drive will read Blu-ray discs at 6x CAV 3 times faster than th PS3

IBM, it was designed to boot load microcode (µIPL in IBM terminology) for their System/370 computers introduced in 1971. The original floppy discs used by IBM were 8 inch diameter and had a capacity of only 80,000 bytes. The IBM engineer that designed the disc drive that the System/370 used to read microcode from these discs was Alan Shugart. He eventually left IBM to start his own disc drive company.
A CD Drive reads CDs.A CD-R drive writes to CD-R discs. Rewrite not possible.A CD-RW drive writes to CD-RW discs. Rewrite capable.CD drive can only read a CD and not write to it, the drive is called a CD-ROM drive. CD-R is a recordable drive, it will burn to CD-R discs, which can only be burned to one time.CD-RW drives support CD-R and CD-RW, which is the ability to burn to CD-RW discs, which can be burned to, and erased, hundreds of times.
Yes, because you are uploading all of that games data into your hard drive, as opposed to just having your xbox read the disc.
Either you've got a weird/broken CD drive or your disc drive can't read that type of disc. Not all disc drives can read all types of disks.
