Try closing any other programs you may have running (msn, aim, raptr, Yahoo, Limewire, etc)

If that doesn't work, unplug your router, then plug it back in.

If it's still lagging, reboot your computer.

If its still running slow, plug a ethernet cable into your computer directly from the router.

If it's STILL lagging after that, you need either a better network connection or more RAM in your computer.
