If you don't have a Minecraft account, you must make one first. Then go to Minecraft.net and sign in. Then click on Profile up at the top. It should have an option to change your skin, and also an option to download the reference skin.**NOTE You need to have purchased the full version of Minecraft to have access to skins.

You can always use sites like Novaskin or Minecraft Skins to make and download your desired skin. However, Novaskin has more features for your skin such as making it high definition. I do not know if it will completely work since you have not bought the game. However, if you want to see your desired skin while playing with others, buy the full game. Links to these sites can be found in related links.
