You actually don't need to run them over if you have learned the skill by visiting the little shrooms in the grass area of the castle after beating Petey Piranha on the Gritzy Caves (level 14)- just throw the little buggers then do a spin with big Mario and Luigi and go near the babies- they will float up and you can direct them with the d- pad
__________________________ To do it you need these skills. Mario and luigi: spin in the air and the ability to turn into a ball. Throw the babies to a different spot. Then turn into a ball then run the babies over. They look like pancakes. Then make Mario and luigi into a spin air thing then go near the baby pancakes and pass them they will go high in the air Hope that helps! =]

The moment you fall down again jump again (this jump will be higher and Mario/Luigi will use a different movement) without releasing run or direction keys. Upon impact with the ground again jump to do a triple jump (Mario/Luigi will jump very high and flip in mid air).
