You can't craft a dragon egg. To get it, you must defeat the Ender Dragon in the End. There will be a bedrock portal with the dragon egg on the top. Then, take it using a piston. DO NOT TRY TO BREAK IT OTHERWISE IT WILL TELEPORT! Then, you retrieve the egg as an item.

How to get to the End: You have to find a Stronghold. You need at least 12 Eyes Of Ender. You should get more as you can use these to show where the Stronghold is. Eyes of Ender are crafted with Ender Pearls and Blaze Powder.

Blaze Powder: Blaze Powder is crafted from Blaze Rods, which are obtained from Blazes, which are found in Nether Fortresses. You need to get to the Nether to find these.

Nether: Make a frame of obsidian that is 4 blocks wide and 5 blocks high. It mush be hollow in the middle. Then, use a fire charge or flint & steel to light the bottom of the frame. Now you have your portal!

Obsidian: Pour water over lava source blocks. It can only be mined using diamond pickaxes.
