You can create as many families as you want, however you can only play one household at a time, unlike Sims 2, where you can control the whole town at the same time, by going to different households.
http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=101362 You can just combine households or just have more babies I am having the same problem because i wanted the son, his wife and twins to move back in with parents, triplets, sister, brother-in-law, and their child. You can't have more babies because 8 people is the limit, and it won't let you combine households if there are more than 8 people !
no but you can switch households. you can do this by clicking edit town then clicking the household you want to switch to then clicking change to active household.
Lots are out. The sims 3 university, sims 3 nightlife, sims 3 adventures, sims 3 generations... you name it!
Click onto your sim so that you are playing as them. Go into their inventory and click their phone. Click 'Move', then select which sims you want to kick out. To the left of the 'Accept' tick, check the box that says 'Kick Out'. This will send those sims to a random vacant lot in your town. You can also go to 'Edit Town' and split sims from households in your town that you aren't controlling.
combined households? you click on the household that you want the sims to move into and then one of the buttons will say combine households.
No. The other households will age up at the same rate as the current one you are playing.
Yeah - on the neighbourhood screen select 'choose a household' - then voila :)
You can force them to live together simply by combining households in the edit town mode.
yes, you can turn story mode off in the options. that way other familys don't progress like in the sims 2
on the edit town mode you can merge households. also if your sim is good enough friends with another sim in another household and they are at that sims house at the moment then that other sim can ask you if you would like to move in
