Use a damp cloth and wipe from the center of the disc out to the edge of the disc in single strokes, starting over from the center and coming straight out to the edge, rinse repeat. Also, check that the cloth is not wet or sopping wet, but just slighly damp, and that you don't leave lint on the disc when you put in back in. Lastly, if the disc has scratches, bends, dents, grooves on the shiny side of the disc, you might want to buy another cd, a used one maybe, or find that receipt and return it!
