This applies on not just Minecraft 1.6.1, but all versions of Minecraft prior to the update of 3rd person. To get off 3rd person, you must press f5. You may then go into a different angle. Press f5 again and you'll be back to 1st person mode.
You can't have make turns with powered rails for turns you need to use normal rail tracks it should automatically turn it for u.

First you have to go to options when playing a game. Then you will see a section to the left that says camera and shows a picture of a camera. Finally, you have to click it and change the angle by pressing left or right on your game controller.

Sometimes the camera angle changes when you interact with something or move to a certain area. Other than that, it doesn't change.

Yes but a front surface mirror ( the mirror is on the front of the glass not behind it ) is best. If you are going to take a photo of yourself in a mirror you have to place the camera at an angel where the camera sees you in the mirror and you see the camera not yourself. So place the camera at a 45 degree angle to the mirror and place yourself opposite of it. look at the camera, set the timer and let it go or use a long shutter release if the camera is designed for it. Of course those of us who carry rangefinders, SLRs or TLRs have been taking photos with mirrors for years.
