You can't. The only way you can get Mew on Pokemon Platinum is by migrating or trading with someone that has Action Replay.
You probably throw a pokeball on it or something like that.

umm is platinum YES u can! who ever tolled u this is a lieing up jack! plus u don't get mew on and island in emerald.allu have to do for mew is get the natinol dx fins all the Pokemon in it ( except for mew and mewtwo) go to the road that leads u to the champion and the elite four and run arounnd until u find mew, next real 24 hours or longer go do the same thing for mewtwo.
