How do you catch mesprit on Pokemon Diamond?

Mesprit does flee from the battles normally at the beginning. But if you manage to inflict damage on it then when you see it again it will still have the damage to it. The best way I found to catch Mesprit is to get a level 30-40 Pokemon that knows Mean Look, I evolved my gastly as i found my captured Haunters didnt know Mean Look. Then give your Pokemon that knows mean look a quick claw. Track down Mesprit using the Poketech app (forgot what it is called, my apologies >.<). Mesprit will move everytime you do but you should manage to come across it at some point. Make sure your Pokemon with mean look and the quick claw is first in your party then when you battle Mesprit use mean look and hopefully because you have the quick claw equiped your Pokemon should be able to use its move before mesprit gets the chance to flee. Weaken Mesprit then try catch it. <3

ok how to catch mesprit 1.make sure you have a lot of nest ball dusk ball and net ball

ok when you see mesprit make sure mesprit`s hp is low.then when its fled find mesprit again and the when you see mesprit again in the grass use nest ball and when mesprits fled find her again.and then when you find mesprit in the water use net ball. and when you find mesprit in the cave or in grass but its night use dusk ball. my favorite poke ball is dusk ball because it can catch any legends..
