At night its pretty big its very fast but approach it slowly and if it charges at you run it can attack you and make you faint and warp back to your house. Same as a scorpion but that charges at you and a tarantula runs away from you but if you get to close it will jump at you.
____
Tarantulas come out at in summer from about 7pm. They walk around on the floor and are quite hard to catch. You have to be sneaky but if you're too slow it will move and see you. if the tarantula does see you, it will chase you and bite you. You'll end up back at your house but the tarantula will be gone. Try to sneak up behind it if possible as this will be easiest. and DON'T RUN.

You can't catch tarantulas on animal crossing on ds, as far as I know, however I am aware that you can catch them on animal crossing for the wii
The hardest bugs to catch on animal crossing are the tarantula and the scorpian. they both run along the ground so fast and the scorpian also stings you. the best way to catch a scorpian is to not chase it with your net out! creep SLOWLY up behind it without your net, and when it doesn't move, then get your net out. then QUICKLY catch it!
