How do you catch a jigglypuff?

Basics:In the Pokemon series, Trainers are taught the basics of catching wild Pokemon. For those who do not know, Pokemon can be captured by weakening them with the Trainer's own Pokemon. The more damage that is done to a wild Pokemon, the higher the catch rate. By inflicting status conditions, such as poisoning and paralysis, the capture rate of the Pokemon increases by a fair percentage. To ensure for a capture to be even more successful, different Pokeballs that apply to different conditions, are also frequently used.

Catching a Jigglypuff:

To catch Jigglypuff, the Trainer must find one, by exploring around the areas which they inhabit. When a Jigglypuff is spotted, determine the level ( and power) differences, and decide whether or not to attack it. A useful move for a Pokemon to learn when catching wild Pokemon, is False Swipe. This move can be learned naturally, or taught by the usage of a TM. The move False Swipe, always leaves one HP, no matter the circumstances (unless the Pokemon is weaker against the other, or has fainted before using the move). Another helpful tip, is to bring a Pokemon, with the ability Soundproof, or Vital Spirit. As it is known, Jigglypuff are well known for putting their foes to sleep, but with the abilities Soundproof/Vital Spirit, a Pokemon will not be affected by Sing. Finally, one last useful advantage, is determining the type of Pokeball used to catch it. While a normal Pokeball is fine, in the Pokemon Haertgold and Pokemon Soulsilver, special types of Pokeballs can be created from items known as Apricorns, with the Love Ball, being a handy one. In battle, the Love Ball has a higher chance of catching a Pokemon of the opposite gender from yours, so also be sure to bring both male and female Pokemon.
