How do you beat Wattson the Mauville City gym leader on Pokemon sapphire?

You are going to hate this answer. You need to raise some Pokemon just above level 25 or so. All of his Pokemon are easy-ish except for his magnemite. I is really hard to beat. You need a ground type Pokemon. I would suggest getting a geodude to beat Watson and my best of wishes to you. Also, it would help if you beat all of the people in his gym before going for the leader if you have not already. If you want a different answer, then post another question about this same topic.

You can use a fighting Pokemon to beat his magnemite, and magneton as well because it will be super effective against steel. If you have a combusken, you can use double kick and that should do the trick. Otherwise, a maukuhita or machop will do as well. If u have a shroomish you can evolve it into a brelloom at level 23-24 (not sure). It will learn mach punch which is a fast fighting attack. Any fire moves would work as well. If you have a combusken you should be fine. You should level them up to at least level 20-23.

And if you started with torchic or treeko evlve them then teach them rock smash you get it from the house under the bike place and take them out for the voltorb
