How do you beat Terra Maw in advance wars 2?

Pick Kanbei. His units are stronger, but cost more. There are enough cities to take in Terra Maw that his extra cost doesn't hurt too much, and the extra power is worth it.

If you're going for a win by demolition, capture that airport on your side of the map *ASAP*. Easier said than done, but still doable. From there, build a fighter to keep away bombers, and keep enough Neotanks around to destroy AAs. Use Fighters/B-Copters to capture (or at least block) the little north part of Sonja's island. By this point, you should have most of the stuff on your island captured and more than enough units/funds to finish her off. Try to keep an AA of your own near your HQ at all times. Sonja will often send Bombers and B-Copters you can destroy for fun, and will occasionally try to capture the HQ (T-Copter).

If you're trying to win by HQ capture, Rush the closest port, capture it, and build a lander. Load the infantry and a Neotank into it and head for her HQ. This is a little trickier, but if done right will usually make for a better score.
