In the first area you have to do the sad emotion because princess peach will run faster if she cries.
the rest of the area's are the same as the rest of the game just collect the toads and go to the finish.
Hint:
When you enter an area look at Princess Peach on the bottom screen if there is an '!' there is an toad in that area, if she stays normal you can just go to the next one without searching!!
