Yes you can. You need to get an SD card and put the music files on there. If you have itunes, you can click on each of the music files and select "create AAC version" and then move the AAC files to your SD card.
While creating a Flipnote, you will see a microphone icon at the top of the screen. Click that. Then click The "Music" button, and you will be recording.

Somewhere in your system folder, you can put music to play at the Menu screen, characer selection screen, and the vs screen. First, download an .mp3 file of the music you want and put it in your Sounds folder. Then go to system and scroll down until you see music. The instructions will tell you what to do there. I'll update this question when I get on a computer that has MUGEN.

In terms of music its when the sound in a film or cartoon works well with whats happening on screen- if the scene on the film is happy the music will also be happy. Its Similar to programmatic music which follows the physical action that happens on screen specifically e.g. if a cartoon character runs into a wall, a cymbal crashes to emphasise the situation.

No, the music channels on DirecTV do not leave a screen burn-in.
You don't need Ipods, but they are great entertainment. The Ipod is by Apple, there is the Nano, the Shuffle and the Touch. As the name suggests, the Touch has a touch screen, The Nano has a screen and a clicker, which is used to select the song, and the Shuffle randomly picks a song, it has no screen. You can download music, podcasts and videos from iTunes, which is an amazingly large, online music store, then you can put those songs on your iPod. iPods are awesome.
