First of all, you should have Gecko Cheat Code Manager.
1) Open up Notepad
2) Go to http://geckocodes.org/
3) Select the game and region you want to hack
4) On the page, there should be a DOWNLOAD button
5) Copy and paste the two things on to the Notepad that are on the top of the page:
Game ID (Example: R8PP01)
Game (Example: Super Paper Mario)
6) Copy and paste the codes you want to have onto the Notepad
(Note: Make sure that when you copy and paste it is in exactly the same format as on that page. Don't copy and paste the comments.)
7) When you are done, save the file as the Game ID.
8) Open up Gecko Cheat Code Manager.
9) Open up the TXT file.
10) Tick the codes you want to activate.
11) Insert your SD Card.
12) On the bottom of the Code Manager, there will be a 'Export to GCT' button.
13) Click on that and click 'Store'.
(Troubleshooting: If it fails to save, click 'Store to File'. Then save it to Removable Disk/data/gecko/codes. If you don't have the folder, then create it.)
14) Once it is saved, take the SD Card out of the computer and into your Wii.
15) Launch Gecko OS and go to 'Options'. Make sure that SD Cheats is ON.
16) Launch the game and have fun!

1. You need to install Homebrew onto your Wii. There are a number of ways to do this, depending on your system menu version, but be aware that there is a small chance that your Wii may become inoperable. 2. You need to install the Homebrew Browser, which is launched from the Hobebrew Channel. Using an SD card, download the Gecko OS from the Utilities tab of the browser. 3. With HBC and Gecko OS, you're all set, now to get the hacks. Using your computer with the SD card inserted, navigate to any of the Brawl User-Content Hacking sites, I prefer http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php, and download the desired files and place them in the proper folder of your SD card. 4. Once that's done, insert the SD card into your Wii and run Gecko OS with the SSBB disc inserted. If done correctly, and assuming the files are valid and in the right place, it should boot, no problem.
Java is already installed. It's not very good, but it's still there. You can't install anything onto a Wii without Homebrew.
