The aoss is the switch on the left side of the psp. It allows you to connect to a wireless internet connection.
The AOSS button is something on a wireless router, it's not on the PSP itself.
There is no AOSS Button on the PSP, it is something on your router. You have to have a router that supports it. This router is hooked up to your computer and is around a $100.00 but you have to have DSL or something like it to run a phone line though. If you do not have this you can go to a Holiday Inn or Wal-mart parking lot who has this router hooked up already. You can access to the internet there. I know this sounds crazy but try it I did. and it works.
AOSS stands for AirStation One-Touch Secure System. It is a technology developed by Buffalo systems on their wireless routers, and offers a quick and automatic way to connect devices to the network. Your game console may have in its connection options, an AOSS option. Once you select this, it tells you to press the AOSS button. This is not referring to a button on the console, it is referring to the AOSS button on your wireless router. Once you press this button, the router will broadcast a special signal that the console will receive, and then establish the optimum connection. If your router does not have an AOSS button then you can still acces the router by scanning for SSIPs and entering your info manually.
The PS3 does not have a AOSS button

AOSS is a feature that allows the quick setup of wireless devices and is only applicable to routers. The PSP does not have an AOSS button.
You're trying to use AOSS to establish a connection, you're telling the PSP to wait for an AOSS signal. You're supposed to press the AOSS button on your wireless router (if it has one), it'll then broadcast a signal which the PSP will receive and automatically set up the connection.
