If you right click on your run, you'll see an option labeled "Rest". If you click that, you are then able to sit down.

An improvement on this technique would involve sitting in a given direction. In context, this might be, for example, sitting with your back against the castle wall in Lumbridge. This is quite a popular sitting destination, though I have seen that most people don't know how to do this.

Here is one way of doing this: You would open your spellbook, right-click on Wind-Strike, for example, and click on someone facing in front of you (it doesn't matter how far away they are). Your character will then face the direction you point the wind strike is, without casting wind strike. You would then click rest, and then would have your back against the wall.
