rotation buttons in bottom left hand corner or by pressing < and > If you have the wheel on your mouse, click it, hold it and go left and right
Hold left click and spin it in the direction you want the object.
Go to Buy Mode and grab the furniture you want to rotate then press the keys to rotate it.
click tools, grab mode, click on an item, press z
You have to press the < and > buttons to rotate in Create A World. Hope this helps :)
To rotate items in the Sims 3 (Nintendo DS), you just press the L or the R button with the item highlighted. I don't play the Sims 3 on other consoles, though, so this is all I know.

In The Sims 2, to rotate an object 45 degrees, you need to enter build mode. Select the object you want to rotate, then hold down the "Ctrl" key and use the "Shift" key while clicking the left mouse button to rotate the object in 45-degree increments. Alternatively, you can also use the rotation buttons displayed on the screen when the object is selected.

you can exit the household and go into neighborhood view, then load the household again. or you could always restart your game. try checking if your computer meets all of the sims 2 system requirements.

Alternatively, you can press the "F1" key to switch to neighborhood mode. From there, you can select different lots and households to manage. This view allows you to see and interact with all the lots in your neighborhood.
