They are different colors than the normal ones and when you send it out you will see a circular pattern of sparkles.
There is no way of telling if a Pokemon in an egg is shiny until it hatches. Sorry.
To tell a shiny from a normal well... first a shiny will have a sparkle in battle and it is a brighter different colour then the original pokemon Example mew is pink shiny mew is blue.
The shaking grass will sparkle.
They aren't. If you tell them you are a girl, your starter will be a girl.
it will be a different colour from usual and when you first go into battle there will be a ring of sparkles around it. Also, you can check by going to the Pokemon you want to check to see if its shiny and go to its summary. If there is a little red star next to the Pokemon, then it is shiny.
if it's a different color then normal
If it hatches as a shiny pokemon, you will be able to tell by looking at it.

It is a 1 in every 8 734 Pokemon that is shiny. you can tell because it sparkles and glitters. Eg: A normal Gyarados is blue, but if it is red, and glitters, then it is shiny. When it is in your party, a red star is beside the Pokemon.
No, you can't tell the difference between shiny type Pokemon and non shiny types. You just have to rely on hope, or a trainer who didn't use the Action Replay on there version of the game. I was browsing it and i saw a shiny shamen!
Shiny Pokemon are random, there is no designated place to find them
for legendary Pokemon save your game before battling them then every time you start the battle check out its look it will look normal or shiny to tell if its shiny it will sparkle, if it doesn't sparkle reset the game, keep doing that until you get a shiny legendary Pokemon. For normal wild Pokemon find a route you feel like visiting that has a Pokemon your interested in catching if its not hard to find that makes it easier just roam the grass and keep finding the Pokemon eventually it will be shiny.yes or use a poke radar
they look different
The shaking grass will sparkle.
There is none but i don't know how it would help. Mewtwo
no the game can not tell a shiny Pokemon when it is with u only in battle Red Gyrados is red when it walks around with you, but its not exactly a real 'shiny' considering it is always red.
