Yes. I was, myself, going to court Julia. She (much to my dismay) experienced a black heart event, but I tried my best not to experience another one and I was able to marry her. We had a child ^^

FP (friendship points) is what villagers have. LP (love points) is what marriage candidates have. You need 10,000LP to get a Purple Heart Color with any marriage candidate. So once you get 10,000 with Julia her heart will change to purple.
