Talk to your child everyday.One day a cutscene will occur.When your child asks you about the harvest sprites, agree with your child.Keep talking to your child every day.One day your child will tell you they had a dream about the harvest goddess.Go to the Harvest Goddess Spring and the goddess will tell you of another island that needs help.After you agree to help, she will tell you its not you she needs, but your child.She will tell you that she needs:

Shining Wool Yarn(buy a sheep,talk to her,brush her,hand feed her,and let her outside every day until she has 10 hearts), Shining Flax Yarn(use fertilizer and plant flax in summer to get shining flax,process it in a yarn maker),Black Pearl(find it on the shores of Toucan Island),Rare metal(bring food,bodigizer,and Stay Awake and go to Ganache Mine and only hit white crystals in search of rare metal).Bring ingredients to Harvest Goddess, and she will make the rucksack.Give it to your child in the morning while they're at home, or else they will not accept it.After you've shown it to your child, your spouse will say that they're too young to leave home.Do your daily work(crops,animals,part time jobs) and go to sleep.The next day your child won't be there, once again do your daily work and go to sleep.Your spouse will wake you up and tell you that your child hasn't come home.You go outside and your spouse says it's all his/her fault that your child ran away.
