Just insert the expansion pack disk and follow the instructions, it will install itself.
expansion pack expands the game. stuff packs give you items
If you are talking about installing a Sims 2 expansion to the Sims 1, it is impossible. You can only install the Sims 2 expansion packs into the Sims 2, not The Sims 1 or 3.
After the classic World of Warcraft game comes The Burning Crusade expansion. The current expansion is Wrath of the Lich King. The next expansion is Cataclysm and will be in stores December 7th
You have it right. Expansion packs in a nutshell are "extras". For example, the game Diablo II primary game comes with 4 acts. There in fact 5 acts. If you want to play the 5th act you have to buy the expansion pack, install it, and everything from the previous game such as your stats and items and spells will be carried over. You then simply play off the expansion pack CD. Other games like roller coaster tycoon come with certain types of rides but other types are exclusive to expansion packs. You then buy expansion packs and install them and then either use the expansion pack CD or the regular CD to play off of, or you can simply install everything to the hard drive. Expansion packs are usually less expensive than their full version counterparts. Some games like everquest release tons of expansion packs. These are usually open ended types of RPGs like Everquest and Baldur's Gate. Make sure you have a good size hard drive (100+ GB should do it)if you run everything from the hard drive.
No you do not.:)
You must install the expansion packs in the order in which they were released or it won't work.Insert the first CD of the first expansion pack you want to install into your CD drive on your computer. Autoplay will run the installation executable automatically. Then follow the directions on screen during the installation process. It will tell you what to do and how to do it as you go along. When that expansion pack finishes, insert the next one and repeat the process that you did for the first expansion pack. Continue doing this until all the expansion packs you have are installed. Remember, you have to install them in the order in which EA Games released them, or else they won't work.Um....not exactly. I did not buy my expansion packs in release order and my game works just fine. Not a problem at all. Keep your discs though because if you do install out of release order you will need the discs to update files, the prompts on the screen will help you. Just put in the disc it asks for. However do remember that Makin Magic should be the very last expansion installed :)
Well you can download expansion packs... but they have to be the Sims 2 expansion packs !!! :0)
You must install the expansion packs in the order in which they were released. If you have all the expansion packs, they must all go in order. If you don't have all the expansion packs, they must still go in order, but you can skip over the ones that you don't have and they should install just fine. The order is: University, Nightlife, Open For Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, and Apartment Life. Each expansion pack will have its own serial number that you must enter for each one that you install. The stuff packs can be installed in any order that you choose.
you backup the files on to a disk then put the expansion packs on then load the disk back on , hope this helps :)
No, you have to install the game multiple times, once for each expansion pack.
In order to have any expansion packs you need to have the sims 3 base game.
Yes :)
you have to uninstall rct3 and re install rct3 planitum (planitum has all the expansion packs included) or you could just buy soaked and wild
No, you must install the expansion packs in the order in which they were released. If you don't have all the expansion packs, they must still be installed in their release order but skipping over the ones that you don't have. This is because each expansion pack might add something onto things that were previously only available in that expansion pack it belongs to (confusing enough, huh?). Anyway, that is the way Maxis/EA Games made it, and that's the way it was with the original The Sims 1 as well.
Yes you do, the expansion packs won't work without the base game.
Just insert the expansion pack disk and follow the instructions, it will install itself.
