Catch a hoothoot in route 29. (they're everywhere at night) or headbutt a tree in the Ilex Forest. If you do this in the day, it will be asleep. Easy catching! Raise it to level 20 for a Noctowl. Once it evolves, it will learn Reflect(25), Take down(33), Confusion(41), and Dream eater(57).

Yup. Noctowl can be caught by headbutting in Illex Forest or Viridian Forest, and in the grass on Route 14 at night. Also probably on Route 47 at night, but I think that's Hoothoot.
