It's simple actually. Go to Options, Select Plugins.
Under controller one set the VMS to be either with LCD or without it is your choice.
Then start chankast with no iso loaded (or use the open lid command under the file menu) and go to File on the dreamcast menu (it is a dancing VMU).
It will ask you to wipe/format the VMU in slot 1 and pick a logo.
Just do as it asks and now you can save games!
Enjoy.
Yes - if you have the game in GDI/raw format and use an emulator such as NULLDC, CHANKAST, or MAKARON.
On the original hardware, you can't. But through emulation, you can.
First off everyone who is reading this.. YOUR WELCOME! :) Well first go to "coolroms.com". Then you go to the emulators link/download the Chankast emulator. After you have done that... go to the roms section for the dreamcast games only and then you download all your roms for dreamcast. Next... make sure you have a different drive like e or something or the emulator WILL NOT WORK. Once you have done this... go to your emulator (Chankast)... right click/extract data.. (First create a new folder named Dreamcast games then you extract the emulator) Then you go to Chankast... go to configure drives... select "e".. then you start your game and you are ready to play an awesome game like MORTAL KOMBAT GOLD! :) Have fun gamers!
No PC games will never work on the PS3. Games are designed for a single platform and only older games for can be converted to the PC with emulation software
All PS3 models play PlayStation 1 Games and do so through software emulation.

Not without emulation.
You have to choose the correct save type. Flash 512k works for most games. Access it via Options->Emulation setup

When emulation is being mentioned , it is not the game that is being emulated but the hardware. So you will not find "PS1 Emulation Games". You will find PS1 Emulator. You use your own games, or ISO's of your own games.
PCSX2 does not support PlayStation emulation. That's what PCSX is for.
The PS2 software goes with the hardware on the PS2, the PS2 software can not be put on anything else and still work. What you want is a PS2 emulation and no good working emulation exists for the PS2. The second generation of the PS3 did use a partially software based PS2 emulation that also required hardware. An Emulation does exist for the PS1 and that is why all Sony PS3 models will play PS1 games.
No emulation, no progress
