Yes, but you need a crafting table in order to do that.
Fill every 9 square with a diamond, and you can craft a diamond block.
This can be split in 9 individual diamonds.

Many blocks turn into something else when they are broken - smooth stone turns to cobblestone, dirt with grass turns into regular dirt, diamond ore turns to diamonds, for example. What silk touch does is lets you mine the original block without it turning into the broken version. So you'll be mining and collecting smooth stone, dirt with grass and blocks of diamond ore.
You put 5x4 blocks of Obsidian and light it with flint and steel. it should turn purple. if not, destroy it, rebuild it, and then light it again. if that does not work restart your minecraft game.
It turns to ice naturally when in a snow biome. You can also farm ice with the Silk Touch enchantment added to your pickaxe. There are many simple contraptions you can build to mass produce ice blocks. See the link below for the Minecraft Wiki with video links.
do the command /lwc flag magnet on, then stand on top of the desired chest and throw ONE block on top of the chest. The blocks have to be iron, gold or diamond blocks, any other will not work. Then, once you have done that, stnad on the item and have it go into your inv. However, sometimes the block will also go into your chest, duplicating it. However, this block is fake, and cannot be used except in crafting. Therefore, you have to craft it into 9 diamonds, iron or gold. Then recraft it, and you have a new block :D. This also works for potions, where the splash potion put into the chest will turn into and infinite stack. Btw It Does not work anymore (Patched) :(
You'll need four blocks of stone. Recipe OO OO O = stone You first have to smelt cobblestone into normal stone, or 'smooth' stone, then place the smooth stone in each square of your 2x2 crafting slot, to turn it into blocks of Stone Brick.
