Unfortunately, you need to use two GameBoy Colors with the GBC link cable. The GameBoy Advance connects at a different frequency than Gameboy Color games can receive.

I don't believe any of the game boy color games are combatible with the ds light. I'd suggest an sp, gba, or gbc if you want to play any of the old games.

Can you trade from crystal to emerald or is it just gold and silver?
Pokemon games for the handheld systems can only trad to other games from that same system, GBA to GBA, GBC To GBC, GBA to GBC and vice versa will not work.
