well...yes actually if you have an emulated version of this game the emulator has GameShark codes that will unlock him but for the playstation 2 version of samurai warriors 1 I think if you kill him in survival mode he will be unlocked but i never achieved that since I was quite a bit younger when i played the game (10) and i was not very good but as far as i know killing him in survival mode may not open him I think Koei put him in the game as a "super secret character" so to speak. kind of like sub officers in the dynasty warriors series (Yan Liang, When Chou, Han Dang, etc.) they are main characters but you can not play them only the CPU can. Though I found it intresting that they featured a dynasty warriors character (Lu Bu) in Samurai Warriors.
