Yes, all it is is a smaller more compact version of the original PS3. So no matter what year the PS3 game was made you can still play it on your slim. (It was sized down so it could store more mem and open up room space)
same thing happens to me when i find a way to fix it ill tell you id say jsut wait 2 days(if you have ps3 slim ps3 fat cools faster) that's my advice
I prefer PS3 Slim because they now hold twice as much memory as previous fat PS3's, they are much quieter, they tend to perform a bit faster on the XMB, they are smaller and take up less space, the matte prevents fingerprints, and they are more energy efficient. My 80GB fat PS3 died from the yellow light, and my new 160GB PS3 Slim is great so far! I would have to say the only thing that I wish they would have done with the slim was keep the USB ports, there are only 2 (as opposed to 4 on my fat). The PS3 slim uses less power so it does not overheat as easily. Most Software upgrades except the HDMI Sync are available to both models. A new slim comes with the warranty and an old fat PS3 has an unknown use history and is like comparing a purchase of anything used to something new. Then there is the 320 GB PS3 with Move Bundle for only $400 with room to download and try every demo available at the Playstation store and to join Playstation Plus and just download anything free in case you might want to play it someday. Store all your Pictures, Videos, and music To sum up the PS3 that is new is better than an old PS3 that might have been abused, but is at least older. A PS3 with a much larger Harddrive is better. The PS3 that runs cooler because of the lower power usage will last longer than a Fat PS3. HDMI Sync is a nice feature not available in PS3 Fat
First you have to sign up for the playstation network then go to the settings and set your ps3 up for your internet then go to the game and select online unless its a game you cant play online.
No they PS3 does not have a system to connect a phone cord it is an ethernet plug in back and also besides dial up being too slow the PS3 can not dial up
Well it depends what PS3 software it is. Mines 60GB and cannot play PS2 games on it that's the only difference, my friend has a bigger GB PS3 and CAN play PS2 games on it. I prefer PS3 slim because it doesn't take up much space :D conor bone:ps3 if you got the ps2 and slim if you don't
put it standing up on a flat surface and near windows or a ventellation system

no
People say that the ps3 bc is the best but ... when you think about it the slim is actually better.I mean its newer so its got to be better. The slim is faster slimer and uses less power and the the ps3 bc does not have / do that. The ps3 bc can play ps2 games but you can download that on the playstation network for the slim. The slim does not get dirty or fingerprints the ps3 bc does not get dirty but it gets fingerprints. The ps3 bc has 4 USB but the slim has an accesory that gets you 8 usb and it doesnt fit the ps3 bc because its to fat.Dont believe me search 8 usb stand up boot for ps3 on Google images i THINK it doesnt work on the ps3 slim THINK.And like i said its new so it has to be better. I hope that helped
Yes, there are a few minor differences between the two. The original PS3 takes up a lot more energy to run than the slim PS3 does. Also the original PS3 has a much larger and noisier fan than the slim PS3. However, there is no difference in the preformance of either version.
The ps3 1st gen yes its bigger but its for a reason it has 8 cells in it and it runs much smoother then slim, it doesnt freeze like slim does because of lack of fans and in ps3 you can swap to bigger hard drive and you can pick PC harddrive that will fit ps3 with up to 2 terabites ps3 slim cant do that.
same thing happens to me when i find a way to fix it ill tell you id say jsut wait 2 days(if you have ps3 slim ps3 fat cools faster) that's my advice
Yes it the harddrive is updated with the new model. The harddrive needs to be set up for the system that it is in. It would not be a fat PS3 harddrive in a PS3 slim and still allow the PS3 slim to work. You could not even put it in a different model Fat PS3 without uploading the new information for that model PS3. They are all just standard laptop harddrives (2.5" internal Serial ATA HDD) like all PS3 use and then loaded with the unique model information that only that model can use. You certainly could not use a early PS2 capable harddrive to give your slim a capability to play PS2 games. see related link
Xbox And ps3 both are better up to you which games you like the most and what console you like Official game of Xbox 360 is Halo (shooting) game Official game of ps3 is Uncharted (Roleplay) game !
The PS3 slim can is good but it depends on what kind of person you are. If your a nerd like myself that loves awesome graphics (with hd) then you might not like it cause there no hdmi. if you play video games quite a bit but are satisfied with the original ps3s graphics then i would go with that because it can do more that the slim. like play ps2 games and stuff like that so if i had to make a descision then i would go with the bulk Hope this helps Like the original PlayStation 3, the PS3 Slim also features HDMI, with the 1.3 profile no less, which supports high-fidelity digital audio formats. Compared to the original PS3, the Slim however utilizes mechanical buttons, as opposed to the touch sensitive ones of the original. The main power switch on the back has also been omitted, leaving only the one on the front. Overall, the Slim boasts roughly a 30% reduction in mass and 60% in weight. The power adapter is still internal, and the new fabrication process allows it to consume less electricity, letting it run quieter than the original model. Additionally, one feature the PS3 Slim introduces is BRAVIASync, allowing the user to control the PS3's functions through the use of their television remote.
Yes you can, and it won't mess up your PS3 Slim warranty either.
