If you want to make a pet younger, you have to make him into an elder first. To do this, bring up the cheat box with Ctrl+Shift+C and type in 'boolprop testingcheatsenabled true' without the apostrophies. Then shift+click on the pet and select 'force aging'. When the pet is an elder, Select force aging again and he/she will turn back into a puppy. If you want an adult, keep selecting force aging until they are the age you want

I tried that but sometimes my pets turn into black shapes that sit down and do nothing.
