You can't, which is annoying because my sim is an astronaut and only works on mondays. I wanted to get a part time job for the other days but it does not work. You could be an artist, fisherman, writer,gardener or sculptor aswell but it's not like a proper job.

There's so much that you can do in Sims 3: you can get your Sims jobs in a variety of careers, you can design a house, you can get Sims married, you can become a millionnaire (only in the game, unfortunatly). There's loads that you can do. Killing Sims tends to be a popular thing.
