Can you get shiny Beldum from Steven's house in Mossdeep city in Pokemon Emerald or it can only be normal Beldum?

You can get a shiny from his house, but it's not worth it. The P.I.D. (Pokémon I.D.) of all gift pokémon are, from what I've heard, pre-set when you start the game. Meaning that it's still a 1/8192 chance of finding one (About .01% chance), but instead of simply soft-resetting to get it, you'll have to start an entirely new game. So I'd recommend getting it and then breeding it. You see, when a Pokémon's PID is calculated, the game generates a number from 0 to 65535. If the number is less than eight, it's shiny. So it's an 8/65536 chance, or 1/8192. Meaning this is hard enough without the pre-set variable. But then again, the variable may not be pre-set. It's just a rumor. But, you never know.
Well actually you can. I got a shiny beldum from him. All i did was save before i received it and kept on turning on and off, then eventually got one.
