Well.... there is only one way to duplicate rare candies, masterballs, and other items. Take two Pokemon different gender but same species, or one gendered species Pokemon *No ledgendaries* and one ditto and take them to island 4 *after beating elite 4* and breed them with the day care people. The man outside will be standing out a little bit, after you have waited a while. He will give you an egg which should contain the item held by the one Pokemon after it hactches!

im not sure if this is true.
But i heared that if you go into a double battle with a ditto and another Pokemon, you should give the item you want to duplicate to ditto and another Pokemon needs thief.
once in a double battle you can use thief on ditto and ditto should still have the item and do would your other Pokemon.
