You can either:
1) Finish the game and choose "Love" to bring back your dog and family/families.
2) Go to Knothole Island*, up the slope away from the dock, keep to the left and there's a sign, a lever and a set of stone doors. Go to any random villager of the island and get them to follow you. Walk up to the doors and the doors will open. The villager will step inside. Pull the lever to the left of the doors and......voila!!! Doors close, open again and OUT COMES DOGGY!!!!
*No quest are require to be done and expansion pack not needed for this to work!

Can you get a new dog on Fable 2?
Yes, you can get a new dog. It costs money, though. You have to buy and download the Knothole Glade add-on for Fable 2. Upon entering the new land, go to the grave with the door. You will not be allowed to enter the tomb. Instead you must find a person in the town that will follow you. Then proceed to the tomb and offer them as a sacrifice (once you have gotten someone to follow you, you will be able to open the tomb). They will enter the tomb and you must immediately go to the lever approximately 5-10 feet left of the tomb. Pull it and out will come your new dog. Congratulations, you have just received a new dog!!!
