Well, you can Assassinate Brutes but it's really hard to do it. But, I don't think you can do that to hunters. So, You can assassinate all covenant but, Hunters.
To Assassinate someone in Halo Reach you must approach them from behind and press and hold "B".

In "Halo 3," the Hunters side with the Brutes due to the shifting power dynamics within the Covenant. After the Arbiter's betrayal of the Prophets and the decline of the Elite's influence, the Brutes, led by Tartarus, rose to prominence. The Hunters, seeking strength and a formidable alliance, joined forces with the Brutes to maintain their own status and power within the Covenant hierarchy. This alliance ultimately contributes to the internal conflict and fragmentation of the Covenant itself.

Yes.
They do but it's under there armor so you can't see it
There is something called a brute in the game of Halo but not something called a Halo Brute lo.l The Brutes play their part in: halo 2 (near the end) Halo 3 (Half of the game is brutes) Halo Reach (ehh... parts of the game) obviously in campaign lol. Hope this helps.
The only playable alien race in the Halo franchise are the Elites. You can not play as the Brutes in Reach or any of the other games, with the exception of Halo Wars allowing you to create Brute units.
