Maybe. Some school buses require about 115 feet to turn in a cul de sac. Unfortunately the design of cul de sac may be as little as 85 feet or 100 feet. In addition, if the cul de sac has a car parked in it that day, or garbage cans obstructing the roadway, a tight turn will become impossible for the school bus. Backup a school bus is dangerous (including in a cul de sac), and may school districts prohibit it. Lastly, because the school bus will require every inch of the turning circle in the cul de sac, the tail spin overlaps the curb--possibly resulting in hitting mail boxes.
