First you need to beat the Deku tree, Dodongos cavern,and Jabu Jabu's belly once you get the spiritual stones, go to hyrule. There will be a cut scene, and then dive into the water. you get the ocarina of time. somehow, zelda appears and teaches you the song of time. go in hyrule, and go to the temple of time. place the spiritule stones in a resting place, and mabye its then you get the song of time ( I did it a while ago) The point is you eventualy learn the song of time, but play it after the stones are set. two giant doors will open. you will se a big sword ( AKA master sword. grab it. when you are an adult, you use the hylene sheild like a deku sheild, and you get various good items
