no, unless you are planning on entering a Pokemon tournament in real life (they can detect you've cheated)
Don't use a lot of codes at one time. It will cause your game to freeze. Don't turn off the game while it's saving and since I use it for Pokemon don't save while walking through walls or in a mystery zone (only save in places you can go in regular game play) usually people use it for Pokemon so that would be my best guess that that's what you use it for. Once my game got corrupted but you can play from the time you saved before the time you saved that corrupted your game. It won't completely corrupt your game so you won't have the file anymore unless you use a fake code. Don't save while in a mystery zone or in a place you aren't meant to go and don't take any risks! Make sure you know it will work. Be careful. If the action replay it's self doesn't work then I guess u can get a new one but what matters is that your game doesn't get corrupted.

You mean the difference of Action Replay DS and Action Replay DS EZ? Well, the main part is that the regular version is a version where you insert game into the Action Replay. EZ version is a version where you load the codes, take the Action Replay out, and put the game in. Here are some risks: Action Replay DS: Very big risk of freezing gameplay (Game freezes because Action Replay bumps into something (But not a big risk about breaking Action replay) Action Replay DS EZ: My own Experience: NEVER TAKE ACTION REPLAY DS EZ OUT WHILE SAVING!!!!! I DID, AND NOW WHENEVER I LOAD MY CODES, THE TOUCH SCREEN GOES ALL RED AND BLUE. You must want one of those. If you buy one and you have a DSI, Action Replay DS and Action Replay DS EZ won't work on DSI. I recommend Action Replay DSI. It works in DS, DS Lite, and DSI.
If an Action Replay is incorrectly used, incompatible codes are activated together, or you use certain codes that come with warnings of potential file corruption, you may delete your save file. But as long as you read any instructions the codes accompany and the ones that come with the Action Replay you should be quite safe, the Action Replay doesn't have any inherent risks towards your save file.
