Yes there are.
They're in patch 1.6
There are 4 new maps
-Chinatown
-Broadcast
-Creek
-Killhouse
And there is/was another new map.
I don't know in whitch patch it is.
It's named Winter Crash.
It's a version of the normal map Crash but with snow etc.
Near the crashed plane stands a Cristmas Tree with a lot of presents.
u cant - Download the patch and patch 1.2. Then install patch 1.2 and it will be done I think
in the game of the year edition you get 4 new maps in reg version you don't
it costs £/$20 for a new game and for the preowned it is £/$ 15
Butrans 7 day patch
yes, sorta. Go to game data utility, at the top of the game tab, delete your mw2 data. This will delete your purchased maps from the hard drive, if you have any, and the patch. Then use a patch blocker from the internet to access online without downloading the patches. Then go to splitscreen or LAN party. You won't be able to get into a multiplayer game without the patch, since everyone else has to play with the patch. This should allow you to do elevator glitch now.
The new mappack contains 5 new maps! There will be 3 brand new maps (unfortunatly i dont know the names) and 2 Retro maps from COD4 (Crash and Overgrown)

It means you are running off an old patch like v1.4 or v1.5. You could also be on a newer patch like v1.7.
Well there is a probabilty that there will be another update for cod5 similar to the one in cod4. Could have more maps
Yes - DICE and EA laid the server backend work for the new maps and the patch about a week before the patch (ugh) was put in place.
Because Nintendo's software can't update games so dlc patch's are impossible.
