Yes from what I can tell there are 2 distinct power cord patterns, one with the 2 rows of 3 pins and square peg, and another with the same 2 x 3 but two slits instead. Apparently the Falcon 360s have a different one than the older 360s. But because of that, they are not compatible to each other, so new one won't fit old and old one won't fit new. Gotta love Microsoft!!!
Correction...ALMOST RIGHT!!!
The new one works with the old console but the old one does not work with the new console... We can assume this is because there were problems with the old power supply and they wanted to make sure you tossed it when you got a new console to avoid service calls... hope this helps.
The Elite or anything newer will not work with the older 2006 versions/Basic models.
The Elite has rectangle slots in the middle where as the power input on the Basic Model has a square peg in the middle, Its like putting a circle into a square slot, wont happen.
yes there is 2 different power cords for the regular xbox and the xbox 360. So you will have to go buy a 360 power cord.
The older models of the Xbox 360 have a different power supply to the Xbox 360 S. You cannot get a power supply which will work on both consoles, therefore you will need to buy whatever power supply your console needs.
No the scart for the 360 is completely different and the power needs a power box and the connection is similar to the power on a PC
Nope same 90 pound power brick. On the other hand it does have a different connection. A bit of plastic in the middle which does not exists on older models, when plugging into your 360.
Your cords in the back are not connected well or your XBox is dieing.

You plug all the cords in and press the power button to turn your xbox 360 on
yes
No, the Xbox S has its own set of cords that work only with itself and not the other Xbox 360's.
People who enjoy playing video games to relax have a constantly changing line of products to choose from. If you are switching from an Xbox to an Xbox 360 you cannot use the Xbox cords.
Could be a short in the A/V cords. OR could be something wrong with the back Inputs
an Xbox 360 (controller, cords, etc.) and a copy of halo... one that works.
