Amerona is a red wine from the region north of Verona in Northern Italy (the Valpoliccelo comes from this region also). The Amerona is made of dried grapes, not fresh as other wines. Normally having around 15% alcohol, it is a 'heavier' wine than a normal red wine. Amerona is a fantastic wine, the taste stays with you for at least 15 minutes after drinking from the glass!
