When the food is in a bag that isn't completely sealed it can cause the air to travel in, causing mold. Having your food in a cooled fridge is better than in a cupboard. Foods in bags in fridge and ones in cans in the cupboard. Don't put your food in bags! Put them in plastic containers and seal it very well. Try buying Green Bags for fruit and veggies!
