I know this is old... but just so people know... READ YOUR CAN. if it says refrigerate after opening, then refrigerate. If it says do not refrigerate... then don't.

Not all butter flavor sprays require refrigeration, in fact, because the can could explode if too cold or too hot... they advice against it. So read the can.
