Depends on what you put in the crock pot. 6 quarts of soup, chili or stew will feed 12 people.
How many quarts you need to feed 50 people depends on what you are making, and if there will be other foods. If there are other foods, you should figure four ounces per person. There are 32 ounces in a quart so each quart will feed eight people. Therefore, you would need a little over six quarts to feed 50 people.
Well, honey, if we're talking about a generous serving size of about 1 cup per person, you're gonna need at least 25 quarts of chili to feed 100 hungry folks. So, grab your biggest pot and get cookin'! And don't forget the cornbread on the side - nobody likes a chili party without cornbread.

Have you tried contacting Hormel to see if you can obtain some of their Stagg chili in bulk? It tastes great and would be a good chili to feed that many people. If you can get enough people to help, you could also choose one chili recipe (www.famouschilirecipes.com is a good place to look) and have people prepare a double batch of it and bring it to the function. Hope this helps.
You could give around 18 people one 6-oz serving from such a can.
35 cups is 8.5 quarts.
There are many different recipe website on the internet that have chili bean recipes that usually feed a minimum of 8 people. Well when I make it for birthdays I feed approx. 15 people ( with big appetites) and I use a large crock pot to make mine. I usually use around 10 pounds of meat. But depends on if you like alot of meat in your chili or not. So if I were to make it I would you at least 15 lbs. I would rather make too much then not to have enough. Hope this helps.
