I did a test to see what results I would get... I measured out 1-1/4 cups in a dry measuring cup, boiled it and got 1-1/2 cups in the same cup. I also used the same dry measurment 1-1/4 cup in a liquid measuring cup and got 1-1/4. I believe the answer would be 1-1/2 cup of dry noodles will be 2 cups of cooked noodles if u use the same dry measurment after u cook it.
1 cup equals a cup of cooked noodles. ( Am i missing something there )
The macaroni will swell at least double in size when it absorbs the water while boiling. For small noodles such as macaroni, 1 cup dry noodles will equal about 2-1/2 cups boiled noodles. Thus, 2 cups of dry macaroni will make 5 cups cooked macaroni.Note: a cup of dry noodles equals 4 oz, so a pound of dry noodles is about 4 cups and will make 10 cups cooked noodles. For long noodles like spaghetti, 4 oz dry noodles will make 2 cups cooked noodles, or 1 lb will make 8 cups cooked.
Oh, dude, it's like you're planning a wild pasta party! So, 12 oz of uncooked noodles will make roughly 4 cups of cooked noodles. But hey, who's counting when you're just gonna end up eating them all anyway, am I right? Just boil 'em up, toss 'em with some sauce, and enjoy the carb overload!
Four ounces of dry spaghetti will make two cups when cooked.
Approximately 4 ounces dried will make 8 ounces cooked.
To make 10 cups, you would need 80 ounces (8 ounces per cup multiplied by 10 cups).
Its about 3-3,5 cooked depending on brand and size.
That is 5.25 cups
48 fluid ounces = exactly 6 cups
That depends on whether you are talking about liquid measure (volume) or weight. Depending upon how you cook pasta, it will take on enough water to expand to about 3 times its dry volume. So a 6 0z liquid measure will be about 2 cups cooked. I would guess that equals about 3 ounces in weight. But that will vary also, depending upon whether it is whole wheat, low carb or regular pasta. Because of these variations, the best recipes give pasta in uncooked weight or cooked volume. You can always use enough to ensure that there is extra and then use the extra as a leftover. It will keep for several days in the refrigerator, if covered so that it doesn't dry out.
It takes 245 bottles of squash to make 4 cups cooked. I tested it out to make sure my hypothesis was correct, and it was.
To answer your question, about 2-3 cups of macaroni will make 10 cups of cooked macaroni. That is only because macaroni swells up when you cook it.................
