It depends on what you are measuring.

For example

1 cup of water = 0.5lbs

1 cup of salt = 1.13 lbs ( because salt is heavier than water )

Just remember: Cups measure volume. Pounds measure weight.

you cant measure cups in pounds they are two diffrent mesurements, one measures amount of liquids the other measures weight, or something like that.
