Crabs are referred to in scientific literature as both walking and crawling. They are also described as creeping and are prone to scuttling in a sideways motion. Most crabs are however able to walk forward or backward as well as sideways.

Crabs mobility is affected by whether they are moving in water or on land. It has been observed that 2/3 of crabs walk with all legs on the ground but approximately 1/3 of crabs hold up there chelae or front legs while walking.

No. Crabs, as far as we know, do not get drunk. If they did, they would stagger around, but still would be walking sideways.

Can babies sleep walk?

Well, it depends if the infant or toddler can walk. If they can walk, then they can sleep walk. If they can crawl, then its physically they can sleep crawl. Hopefully, they will be secured in a crib so that you can prevent this from happening.

Why sloths crawl instead of walk?

Sloths crawl instead of walk because it's much easier than it is for them to walk, because they have an unique body structure unlike we humans do.
