Why are brothers so mean to their sisters?

if the brother is older, it's because they want to boss you around. boss them back if they are younger, it makes them mad

I dont know exactly how to answer this question but i do have an opinion. In my opinion its because brothers or boys have a stronger bond then girls in general. Older brothers feel a stronger bond with there younger boys because one, they are boys, two an older always wants to be a example to a younger brother. They do not have as much respect for there younger sisters because they put there self in a state of mind that " a sister cannot do as much as a brother can" but in some cases that is untrue.

big brothers are always mean because they want to you to fell like your bad like you are always going to be seen as something big brothers can just make fun of and have as bad object and not the loving sisters we are.

Really, its for different reasons. Some reasons that are so bad like wanting a brother, to the point if a sister, they'd be annoyed and abuse/bully. Or it could be more simpler and only because they think its funny.

Pressure by friends could also be a more, " Simpler " reason.

" Truth or Dare. " a game a lot of children specifically 6 grade up play, is probably the game if my reason was true. If so, they could be dared to taunt their little sister or worse. Its a whole lot worse if you go to the same school as your older brother/bully, because it could happen over and over again, repeated bullying.

Another reason they might bully is they were just raised like that. If you weren't around to see what went on when your older brother was your age, then it could be serious. If you ( The sister ) are the favorite child, maybe your older brother got abused or over-worked in doing chores by your parents. If that's the case, they might be jealous and want you to feel the pain they did.

Obviously that reason is a bit over everyone's head, but maybe you should ask your parents. If they seem shocked about you asking about it, it might be true.

Basically everyone knows this next reason, they think its funny. Obviously this is not the case and to us girls its a waste if they bully us. They might think its funny because they regularly do it to not only girls at school but boys as well. Friends laugh at it, so they laugh at it.

The point is that older brothers bully for more reasons then imagined. If you find yourself regularly being bullied by your brother, tell your parents. If they don't do something about it calling the cops or Child abuse centre's would be your next shot.
